  4. Thank you for purchasing Aztech's "Super Shareware Games" Collection. This
  5. mini-collection is a sampling of some of the very best shareware games 
  6. available today.

  8. All the games on this CD-ROM, except Blake Stone, run directly from the 
  9. CD-ROM, although you will not be able to save games or save reconfigure 
  10. options (you can't change the contents of a CD-ROM). Blake Stone must
  11. be copied to your hard drive because it determines the configuration of 
  12. your machine as it installs itself.

  17. A menu interface is provided to make your game selections effortless.
  18. To access the menu, simply log on to your CD-ROM drive (eg D:) and type 
  19. GO. Then make your selection with the mouse or keyboard.

  24. NeoSoft Corp. (Bend, Oregon) graciously consented to permit Aztech to use 
  25. their unregistered QuikMenu program. It is an elegant, simple and complete 
  26. menuing system that was designed for a networking environment. We have set 
  27. up all the games into submenus to make your selections effortless.

  29. Please remember, QuikMenu is shareware and if you use it for other than the
  30. pre-determined menuing function of this CD-ROM, you must register QuikMenu
  31. with NeoSoft. You will find all the pertinent details in the QuikMenu 
  32. directory. The QUIKMENJ directory contains Aztech's game menu.

  34. The games may be run from the DOS prompt, without using the QuikMenu 
  35. program, by changing to the directory of the game that interests you and
  36. then just type RUNME.

  38. It is important to note that the price for this CD-ROM covers only the 
  39. the medium, research, assembly, production, packaging, and distribution  
  40. costs. The actual intellectual properties (that is, the programs) require
  41. separate payment to the author(s) if you are going to use them. These
  42. programs are "shareware." They are not free unless specifically identified
  43. as such.

  45. Some games want to write a configuration file or a high score file to disk. 
  46. Since it is not possible to write information to a CD-ROM (Compact Disc-Read
  47. Only Memory) any changes you make to the a game's configuration will have
  48. to be done each time you play the game. To overcome this, you will have to
  49. copy the game to your hard disk or to a floppy.

  51. A few of the games may not have a "Quit" or "Exit" command - why? We may 
  52. never know. Sometimes the exit command is identified in the documentation - 
  53. but who reads documentation? First try the ESC (Escape) key. Then try 
  54. holding down the Ctrl (Control) key and pressing, one after the other, Q, W, 
  55. E, A, S, D, Z, X, C. Try the same with the Alt key. Failing all these, try 
  56. the "BREAK" key or holding down the CTL and/or ALT keys and then pressing 
  57. "BREAK." The preceding represent just about every conceivable exit command.

  59. When nothing else works, use the reboot function. Hold down the Ctrl 
  60. (Control) and Alt keys at the same time and then press Del (Delete).
